Rockets recall Kevin Porter Jr. from G League

With the NBA G League season winding down, it appears Kevin Porter Jr. will rejoin the Houston Rockets after the All-Star break.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Rockets have recalled Porter from the G League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Porter had a great season for the Vipers, averaging 24.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game while shooting 44.8% from the field and 32% from deep.

The Rockets acquired Porter in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers for a second-round pick after he experienced a series of troubles that led to a locker room outburst

During his rookie campaign last season, the 20-year-old averaged 10 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 44.2% from the field and 33.5% from deep.
