Kon Knueppel has etched his name into NBA history with a shooting milestone achieved faster than anyone before him.
The Charlotte Hornets rookie has reached 250 three-pointers in his debut season at just 20 years old.
His rise puts him under the spotlight as the new generation’s master of perimeter scoring, and it also places him on an exclusive list.
Knueppel now has 253 three-pointers this season after adding six in a 114-103 win over the New York Knicks.
He finished with 26 points in that game, matching Jalen Brunson as the top scorer on the night.
The shooting milestone was previously held by Stephen Curry and Anthony Edwards.
According to StatMuse, Curry reached 250 three-pointers during the 2012-13 season at 24 years old, while Edwards achieved the mark in the 2024-25 season at 23.
Knueppel has now surpassed both by reaching the figure at just 20.
His shooting output has been a defining feature of his rookie campaign.
The list of youngest players to reach 250 three-pointers includes several elite names.
Luka Doncic, Klay Thompson and Jayson Tatum also feature among the fastest to hit the mark.
Each of those players went on to become key figures for their franchises.
Knueppel’s inclusion places him in rare company at an early stage of his career.
His current trajectory suggests even greater achievements could follow.
