Rudy Gobert has been suspended one game by the NBA because of his flagrant fouls.

Gobert was called for a Flagrant Foul Penalty 1 during his Minnesota Timberwolves’ 104-103 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. Gobert was defending Victor Wembanyama along the perimeter and did not give the Spurs big man a landing spot following a step-back 3-point shot attempt.

Gobert reached six flagrant foul points on the season with that penalty, which triggers a 1-game suspension. The suspension costs Gobert $201,149 based on his per-game pay rate.

Gobert will miss Minnesota’s next game, which is on Tuesday at the Milwaukee Bucks. The 33-year-old center is averaging 11.0 points, 11.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game this season. Minnesota is 26-14, which has them fourth in the West entering play on Monday.
