The Miami Heat are open to trading Terry Rozier, according to NBA reporter Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald.

Rozier will make $26.6 million next season in the final year of his contract. The veteran remains under federal investigation on a potential gambling probe.

The Heat spoke to the Washington Wizards about a Rozier-Marcus Smart trade. A deal didn’t happen, though.

Smart signed with the Los Angeles Lakers after getting bought out by the Wizards.

Rozier played in 64 games for the Heat last season. He averaged 10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 39.1% from the field, 29.5% from beyond the arc and 85.2% from the free-throw line.

The Cleveland Cavaliers swept the Heat in the first round of the 2025 playoffs.

Rozier, 31, has career NBA averages of 13.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists with the Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets and Heat.

Miami president Pat Riley has been busy this offseason. The Hall of Famer traded Kyle Anderson and Kevin Love to the Utah Jazz, acquired Norman Powell from the Los Angeles Clippers in the three-team deal, traded Duncan Robinson to the Detroit Pistons for Simone Fontecchio and re-signed Davion Mitchell.
