In the first quarter of Monday night's game between the LA Clippers and Miami Heat, star guard Russell Westbrook made NBA history moving into 25th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list. With this, Westbrook joins LeBron James and Oscar Robertson as the only three players in NBA history who are top-25 in points and top-10 in assists.
This is a major accomplishment for Westbrook, who has several different NBA records, often for his combination of playmaking and scoring ability. With three assist titles and two scoring titles, Westbrook is one of the best scorers and best playmakers of all-time, and this latest accomplishment shows that.
Still capable of scoring and playmaking at a high level, Westbrook provides the Clippers with a very unique dynamic off their bench. Still one of the best rebounding guards in the NBA at age 35, Westbrook has been incredible on the glass as well.
Entering Monday night's game vs. Miami, Westbrook is 5th among all guards in rebounds per game this season, while being just 76th among guards in minutes per game. Westbrook is also third among guards in total rebounds this season, while being just 48th in total minutes.
An incredibly dynamic player, even at this stage of his career, Westbrook can do a lot of different things on both ends of the floor to impact the game.
