Russell Westbrook revealed Monday that he tested positive for COVID-19, and a recent report reveals that the Houston Rockets star was spotted at a party in Las Vegas last month.
Earlier this week, the Las Vegas Review-Journal shared an image of Westbrook at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel on June 13, alongside a group that included former NFL running back Reggie Bush.
While there is no further evidence of Westbrook’s activities at the Encore Beach Club last month, it’s clear the NBA star was at the very least not wearing a mask or practicing social distancing when the below photograph was taken.

No other member of the group that joined Westbrook at the pool party has publicly confirmed a positive test result. When the Las Vegas Review-Journal reached out to Wynn Las Vegas for comment, the hotel declined to offer any specifics on the Westbrook situation, citing guest confidentiality policies.
Westbrook confirmed his coronavirus diagnosis on Monday with a social media post. In it, the Rockets star notes the severity of the pandemic, writing, “Please take this virus seriously.”

Westbrook, 31, and fellow Rockets star James Harden were expected to join their teammates in Orlando, Fla., at the Walt Disney World Resort on Monday. While the continued absences of Harden and Rockets newcomer Luc Mbah a Moute remain unclear, Westbrook’s announcement Monday means it will be some time before the 2017 NBA MVP joins the team in Orlando.
