
The Golden State Warriors appear to be looking to trade Jonathan Kuminga before the trade deadline.
Jonathan Kuminga can’t be traded until January 15th, but given how his role with the Golden State Warriors has diminished, all arrows point to him being moved.
It’s unclear what Kuminga’s trade market is at this point, but there should be interest in the 23-year-old who has shown upside while in Golden State.
Until he is traded, Steve Kerr made it clear what the Warriors will be asking from Kuminga from here on out.
One of the teams that was linked to Kuminga in a potential sign-and-trade back in the offseason was the Sacramento Kings.
The Kings wanted Kuminga, but a deal never materialized, leading to the Warriors signing Kuminga to a new deal.
Jonathan Kuminga seems likely to be traded once January 15th arrives.

NBA reporter Brett Siegel was asked about where things stand when it comes to the Kings’ interest in Kuminga.
“Kings 100% still want Kuminga, but they don’t have anything the Warriors would want outside of Keon Ellis, and him alone won’t get a deal done.”
According to ESPN’s Anthony Slater, Golden State has made its decision on potentially moving Kuminga.

“The Warriors are expected to explore the Kuminga trade market in the weeks ahead as the probability of a split before the February deadline remains strong,” Slater wrote on Sunday.
Therefore, the Warriors seem more than willing to trade Kuminga at this point if the right opportunity presents itself.
Kuminga and the Warriors need a divorce and both sides would benefit from a fresh start. Kuminga needs a new team to showcase his talents and the Warriors need to turn the page and close the chapter with him.
