The Sacramento Kings are taking on the Golden State Warriors on the road in a Northern California battle.
The Kings are headed into a brutal environment, as the Chase Center will be no easy feat, especially against a surging Warriors squad.
Since Golden State acquired Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline, they've posted an 11-2 record.
On the other hand, the Kings traded De'Aaron Fox away and are playing with an interim head coach at the helm.
With Doug Christie leading the team, the Kings have been improved, as they are currently 33-31 and sit at the No. 9 seed in the Western Conference.
Currently a Play-In Tournament team, Sacramento needs to string together some big wins as they are two games behind the No. 8 seed.
Domantas Sabonis, a key piece for the Kings, is nearing his return to the hardwood. He has been sidelined with a hamstring injury.
He was initially listed as questionable as the Kings are set to take on the Warriors. With the contest nearing, though, the club announced an update regarding the Lithuanian big man.
Prior to the Kings' contest against the Warriors, the club ruled out Sabonis, as his return from his hamstring injury will have to wait, according to The Athletic's Anthony Slater.
"Domantas Sabonis will remain out for the Kings tonight at Warriors. Had previously been listed as questionable as he nears return from hamstring issue. That’ll mean a bunch of Jonas Valanciunas vs GSW frontline," Slater shared on X.

As mentioned, the Warriors are a surging team at the moment. They've worked their way from what seemed to be a Play-In Tournament appearance to a firm No. 6 seed in the West.
The Kings are getting the Warriors at a bad time, as they're in a great run of form, with Sacramento looking to bounce back from two straight losses.
