Sacramento Kings Player Is Still An NBA Free Agent
USA TODAY Sports

Terence Davis is coming off a year where he played in 64 regular season games for the Sacramento Kings.

The 26-year-old averaged 6.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 42.3% from the field and 36.6% from the three-point range (he also appeared in four NBA playoff games).

This summer, Davis became a free agent and still remains available to sign with any team in the league on October 5.

Considering Davis had a solid year and is just hitting the prime of his career, it is a surprise that he still remains available with the preseason already underway.

Davis initially went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft and has also played for the Toronto Raptors (in addition to the Kings).

Over four seasons in the league, he has career averages of 8.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 43.4% from the field and 36.6% from the three-point range in 227 regular season games (he has also appeared in ten NBA playoff games).

As for the Kings, they are coming off a very impressive year where they were the third seed in the Western Conference with a 48-34 record.

They made the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2006 season (but lost to the Golden State Warriors in the first round in seven games).

Meanwhile, Davis will be a name to keep an eye on, as the 2023-24 regular season will begin in less than four weeks (the Kings will visit the Utah Jazz on October 25).
