Sacramento Kings Sign Former LA Clippers Player
USA TODAY Sports

It was announced by Chris Haynes of TNT and Bleacher Report that the Sacramento Kings are converting undrafted guard Jordan Ford from an Exhibit 10 contract to a two-way deal. Ford signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the LA Clippers in 2020, and spent two seasons with the Agua Caliente Clippers before signing an Exhibit 10 deal with the Kings, and joining their G-League affiliate.

Yet to play in a regular season NBA game, Ford has appeared in 78 G-League games since 2020, averaging 12.6 PPG in 25.3 minutes per contest. A full-time starter for the Stockton Kings last season, Ford led the team in assists per game at 4.6, while also scoring 14.7 points per contest.

During his time with the Agua Caliente Clippers, now known as the Ontario Clippers, Ford appeared in 46 games, averaging 11.2 PPG. Still just 25 years old, Ford is getting a great opportunity with the Kings on this new two-way contract. While he is of course not guaranteed any NBA minutes with this new deal, earning one of Sacramento's two-way slots shows that Ford is well-liked by the organization.

As previously mentioned, Ford has never played in a regular season NBA game, but he did appear in preseason for the Clippers back in 2020 before being waived ahead of the season. Now with the Kings, Ford has a new opportunity.
