San Antonio Spurs, Joshua Primo And Former Team Psychologist Agree To 'Resolve' Lawsuit
Matt Krohn-USA TODAY Sports

The San Antonio Spurs, Joshua Primo and Hillary Cauthen have agreed to resolve Cauthen's lawsuit.

After their promising start to the 2022-23 NBA season, the San Antonio Spurs' level has decreased and now they're playing at the level it was expected from them before the campaign started. They're not going to be able to compete for big things in the league for a while, as Gregg Popovich said, but that hasn't kept the Spurs away from the spotlight.

A couple of weeks ago, they were involved in a controversy when a former team's psychologist decided to sue the team over Joshua Primo's antics. The young player was accused of exposing himself to several women within the organization, and this psychologist, named Hillary Cauthen, decided to take legal action against the team and the sophomore.

Primo's attorney was quick to defend his client and made it clear they would try everything to clear this situation. It didn't take long for this to have a resolution, as both parties have decided to move on.

Tony Buzbee, Cauthen's attorney, told SpursTalk that all parties involved agreed to resolve this issue, finishing this legal battle very quickly.

Moreover, Spurs CEO RC Buford released a statement confirming that the situation was addressed and fixed, as the team aims to do a better job if this type of event happens in the future.

"The situation regarding Josh Primo is a matter we take seriously," Buford said. "Since learning of the allegations, we have taken, and are taking, measures to ensure that all parties involved are treated with dignity and respect. We know we owe that to Dr. Cauthen, our players, our staff and our community.

"As an organization, we are continuously evaluating and refining our processes so they ultimately reflect the values and culture of who we aspire to be every day. To that end, we have decided to collaborate with Dr. Cauthen and other experts in an effort to review and improve our workplace processes and procedures.

"This is a learning opportunity for us, and one that we are certain will make us better moving forward."

Primo was highly regarded within the organization, but he was cut by them after they learned about these allegations. We hope that this doesn't happen again in the league, as we've seen a lot of unfortunate situations over the past couple of months and this isn't good for anybody.
