Atticus Ferguson: Pistons 122, Hornets 117.
Detroit has been chomping at the bit as of late and it’s feels as if they’re due for a win at home against the Hornets. Charlotte is coming off of an emotional road win, along with the news of Terry Rozier’s departure. This is a classic Hornets let down spot, and I expect Jalen Duren to make a statement and dominate the paint as he likes to do when playing against the purple & teal.
Prediction record: 11-4.
Sam Dracula: Hornets 111, Pistons 99.
Last time, the Pistons outworked the Hornets. Detroit bullied Charlotte in one of the worst losses of the year. I want to believe Charlotte will respond in a decisive way tonight. No Terry Rozier is an issue but I believe the Hornets can handle their business against a team on a three-game losing streak. And who knows, this could be the start of a modest winning streak for Charlotte.
Prediction record: 1-0.
Austin Leake: Hornets 118, Pistons 108.
The Hornets definitely remember the loss they suffered to the Pistons. Look for LaMelo Ball to reach over 25 points and Brandon Miller to reach over 20+ points for his fourth consecutive game. Detroit has been playing better, despite the losses. The Pistons will always fight hard, but the Hornets will likely start 1-0 in the post-Terry era.
Prediction record: 0-0.
