Schuyler Callihan: Timberwolves 113, Hornets 108.
Call me crazy, but I think this is a winnable game for the Hornets. Anthony Edwards is doubtful which helps erase the loss of LaMelo Ball. Charlotte should get some guys back tonight and the Hive is always alive on the weekend. I think they keep it close, but ultimately fall short thanks to a big night from KAT.
Prediction record: 6-5.
Will Eudy: Timberwolves 109, Hornets 97
Minnesota is one of the top defensive teams in the association with Rudy Gobert anchoring a rotation of long, versatile defenders. The Hornets get a little bit of injury luck on their side here with Jaden McDaniels still sidelined for the Timberwolves and Anthony Edwards doubtful as well. Even so, it is tough to see Charlotte overcoming the top-tier talent of the Wolves.
Prediction record: 8-5.
James Plowright: Timberwolves 112, Hornets 100
Minnesota might be without Edwards and McDaniels, but their size with Towns and Gobert will pose considerable challenges to Charlotte. Minnesota are playing with full confidence as they sit on top of the western conference. Although Charlotte shot the ball at a historic rate in Brooklyn, I expect some regression and rust for Miller/Richards who look like they will be returning.
Prediction record: 7-2.
