Scottie Pippen takes yet another shot at Michael Jordan

Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan went down as the greatest duo in sports history after winning six championships together on the Chicago Bulls.

Unfortunately for both stars, it appears the relationship between them has suffered irreparable damage in recent years.

After having had something of a quiet truce with Jordan, Pippen opted to break away and develop his own narrative recently by writing a controversial book entitled Unguarded.

One of the interesting claims he made in the book is that Jordan’s infamous win-at-all-costs competitive nature was not actually an asset but a detriment.

“Michael was wrong,” Pippen wrote.

“We didn’t win six championships because he got on guys. We won in spite of his getting on guys. We won because we played team basketball, which hadn’t been the case my first two seasons, when Doug Collins was our coach.

“That’s what was special about playing for the Bulls: the camaraderie we established with one another, not that we felt blessed to be on the same team with the immortal Michael Jordan.”

This isn’t the first time in recent weeks that Pippen has taken a shot at Jordan. In fact, the little insults have become so common that even Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma opted to weigh in on the matter over the weekend.

Clearly Pippen has a lot of built-up resentment toward his former teammate.

And if his recent comments are any indication, that resentment isn’t going to subside any time soon.
