Free agent guard Seth Curry plans to re-sign with the Warriors on Monday on a deal for the rest of the season, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
This is the reunion everyone expected back in October when Curry went through camp with Golden State before being waived as part of the final cuts.
The issue back then wasn’t basketball. It was the second-apron hard cap. His veteran minimum didn’t fit, and the Warriors had to wait until at least Nov. 11 to make the money work on a prorated deal.
By stretching it an extra few weeks, the Warriors created a little more breathing room. Curry’s cap hit will land around $1.75 million if he signs Monday, giving Golden State roughly $264,000 of space under the apron.
He’ll make just over $2.7 million if he finishes the season with the team.
Curry, now in year 11, shot a league-best 45.6 percent from three last season with the Hornets. He has made a career out of being one of the NBA’s most reliable shooters, averaging 10 points a night on 43.3 percent from deep.
This will be the first time Seth and his brother, Stephen Curry, play together in a regular-season game. Pretty cool twist in a season when the Warriors can use all the help they can get.
Seth Curry intends to re-sign with the Golden State Warriors on Monday to a deal for the remainder of the season, sources tell ESPN. Curry – who shot an NBA-best 45.6% from 3-point range in 2024-25 – joins older brother Stephen on the Warriors for his 12th season in the league. https://t.co/umwvhCy4OX
