The Oklahoma City Thunder are set to enter next season as the favorites to win the championship after they dominated their way to a title last season.
Of course, the Thunder finished with the best record in the NBA last season and had an easy path to the NBA Finals, though the Denver Nuggets did push them to seven games in the second round.
Although the Indiana Pacers put up a tough fight during the NBA Finals, the Thunder were able to capture Game 7 on their home floor, securing their first championship since relocating to Oklahoma City.
They will look to do the same next season and it will all start on NBA Opening Night on October 21 as they are set to host Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Of course, the Thunder have almost their entire core returning next season, including their star trio of Shai, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren with hopes that they can lead them to back-to-back championships.
On the other side, the Spurs are trying to end their playoff drought with Wembanyama, De’Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper leading the way and they will be put to the test on Christmas Day.
The two teams have had their fair share of battles over the past few seasons with the headlines being the matchup between Wembanyama and Holmgren but both teams will have multiple young stars on display.
