Shaquille O’Neal, 53, Shows No Signs of Slowing Down With Next Big Move

The days of dominating the paint and owning the big moments under the bright lights might be behind Shaquille O’Neal, but let’s be real Shaq has never truly stepped away from the spotlight.

The Big Diesel has done it all since hanging up his sneakers, from cracking jokes as an NBA pundit to spinning tracks as DJ Diesel, and pretty much everything in between. And now, he’s gearing up for his next big move and this time, he’s bringing his son along for the ride.

The move was announced on his DJ page on Instagram and the caption said, “Did we just become best friends?? Touch my drumset again and you’re dead.”

Shaq gave everyone a good laugh when he posted an Instagram pic of him and his eldest son, Myles, photoshopped onto the Step Brothers movie poster. Turns out, he and Myles, aka the “O’Neal Boyz,” are getting ready for their next big gig together.

They’re hitting the stage on July 12th at Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas. This isn’t their first rodeo either; they've teamed up for plenty of shows before.

This isn’t just a one-time thing, too, for Shaq because the guy’s basically a DJ celebrity now. He’s always getting invited to big openings and bars all over the country to spin tracks and keep the crowd hyped.

At 53, he’s even hit the stage at NBA events, proving he’s got more than just basketball in his bag of tricks. Let’s be honest, you don’t see a lot of ex-players branching out and crushing it in so many different lanes like Shaq does. Gotta give the big man his flowers for that!
