It isn't just the players who have been making waves in the NBA playoffs. The folks working behind the scenes and in front of the camera have also garnered a lot of attention as the league enters the most exciting part of the season.
This was certainly the case for Shaquille O'Neal and the rest of the "Inside the NBA" crew. On Monday, they were forced to apologize after O'Neal mistakenly declared former NBA player Billy Ray Bates had "passed away" in Sunday's episode.
Ernie Johnson called it an "inexcusable" error as he sincerely apologized to the family of Bates.
It was a more light-hearted moment for O'Neal and Co. later in the evening, though, after the Hall of Fame big man suddenly walked off the desk at Studio J.
Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith were left in disbelief by O'Neal's sudden exit. They quickly realized that the four-time NBA champ had to take a quick bathroom break, which prompted a fair amount of trolling.
O'Neal had to clear the air on Tuesday after his co-hosts -- and pretty much the rest of the internet -- accused him of having to do a number 2 right in the middle of the show. According to the 53-year-old NBA icon, this was not the case at all.
"I had to pee, you dummies," O'Neal said.

In breaking his silence on the now-viral incident, O'Neal admitted to having to go to the bathroom at an inopportune time. However, he denied any and all allegations about moving his bowels, making it clear that all he had to do was pee.
It was another classic Shaq and "Inside the NBA" moment, and there should be more of the same moving forward as the playoffs continue to heat up.
