Dwight Howard, legendary center who is most known during his time with the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers, has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
When his name was announced, he said he wanted Kevin Garnett, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Shaquille O'Neal to walk him out to accept his Hall of Fame status.
O'Neal, Miami Heat legend and four-time NBA champion, has agreed to do it, saying great things about Dwight Howard.
On The Big Podcast, hosted by Shaq and Adam Lefkoe, the announcement was made and Howards request was responded to with two three word remarks from O'Neal.
"I'll do it...that's my guy," said O'Neal as he was excited for Howard joining him in the Hall of Fame.
While the two never played in the NBA together, they followed similar paths. Both players were No. 1 overall picks in their drafts, both going to the Magic. Their careers at the Magic were incredible, however both found their first championship with the Lakers.
This news may come as a surprise, given Howard and O'Neal's history of public feuds on social media over the years. The tension between the two began with the iconic dunk contest where Howard donned his signature cape, earning him the nickname 'Superman.'
O'Neal did not like that, as Superman was one of his many nicknames throughout his dominant NBA career, stating on social media, "so you wear a cape and win a dunk contest, and they call you Superman."
Now, the beef seems to be put to the side, as they will be together as Howard gets inducted into the Hall of Fame, where they will be side by side in history forever.
