Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has yet to play a game this season due to a knee injury. Because ESPN’s Shams Charania declared that the two-time NBA champion is out indefinitely, fans wonder when he’ll return to the court.
However, Los Angeles Clippers head coach Ty Lue provided an update regarding Leonard, saying that the six-time NBA All-Star started shooting “a little bit” but will remain out for the entire week, per ClutchPoints Tomer Azarly.
Kawhi Leonard putting up shots is a small win for the Los Angeles Clippers since it means he’s in enough of a good place to be on the court. However, fans shouldn’t expect him to return anytime soon since the team is not rushing his rehab progress.
With Leonard watching from the sidelines, the Los Angeles Clippers are ninth in the Western Conference standings with an 8-7 record after winning back-to-back games. They will take on the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Clippers are doing their best to stay afloat in the ultra-tough Western Conference, with Norman Powell, James Harden , and Ivica Zubac leading the charge.
Norman Powell is the team’s top scorer this season at 23.3 points per game , while James Harden and Ivica Zubac average 20.1 and 15.3 points per game, respectively.
James Harden recently became second on the all-time three-pointers list after knocking down two three-pointers in their win against the Utah Jazz on Sunday. The Beard also averaged 13.5 assists per game in his last two outings.
