3 Star play on the Jazz (-9.5): Utah has cooled off a little bit here of late having dropped three of the last four after winning 12 of 14 - a stretch that featured wins over the Heat, Mavericks, 76ers, Bucks, Nuggets, and Lakers. They kicked off their east coast portion of the current road trip on the right foot, handling the Washington Wizards on Thursday night by 15. They had a day to rest up while the Hornets are coming off an absolute beatdown where they allowed 83 points in the second half. There's only one way to play this. Lay the points.

2 Star play on the over: Utah has one of the most prolific offenses in the NBA, headed by a strong frontcourt duo (Lauri Markkanen, John Collins) and backcourt tandem (Colin Sexton, Jordan Clarkson). Several scoring options for Utah in this matchup, particularly near the rim. Charlotte can't stop air right now and on top of that, the Jazz are a bottom 10 team in scoring defense. Over.
