Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

DEC 12 BASSEY TEARS ACL The San Antonio Spurs will be without Charles Bassey for the rest of the season after the team announced that the big man tore his ACL against the Texas Legends in Sunday's Austin Spurs G League game.

Bassey played 19 games with the NBA squad this season, averaging 3.3 points per game.

DEC 9 AMEN THOMPSON BACK VS. SPURS The San Antonio Spurs face the Houston Rockets on Monday and they are getting back one of their top players.

No. 4 overall pick Amen Thompson is being called up by the Rockets and could make his return to the lineup as early as Monday against the Spurs, per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Thompson was injured on Nov. 1 with an ankle injury and has been sidelined ever since. Now, the Rockets' top rookie could be giving the team a big boost in the rotation.

DEC 1 WEMBANYAMA RULED OUT Victor Wembanyama (hip tightness) will sit for the second half of a back-to-back, tonight at New Orleans, per Spurs PR.

The first-overall draft pick has not missed a game so far this season and is averaging 19.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks.

NOV 27 MCCOLLUM MAY RETURN VS. SPURS New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum has been out since Nov. 4 with a collapsed lung, but he could be returning to the court this week.

The Athletic's Shams Charania is reporting that the Pelicans are targeting a return for McCollum during the team's two-game homestand this week against the Philadelphia 76ers (Wed.) or San Antonio Spurs (Fri.).

NOV 17 MARCUS SMART OUT FOR GRIZZLIES The Memphis Grizzlies are taking another blow, just before their game against the San Antonio Spurs.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Grizzlies point guard Marcus Smart will miss 3-5 weeks with an ankle injury.

The Grizzlies visit the Spurs on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

NOV 16 VASSELL OUT, TRE JONES DOUBTFUL VS. KINGS The San Antonio Spurs will be without Devin Vassell on Friday against the Sacramento Kings due to left adductor tightness. Tre Jones is DOUBTFUL with a hamstring strain.

The Spurs and Kings are set to tip off at 6:30 p.m. CT tomorrow.

NOV 14 SPURS VS THUNDER INJURY REPORT The San Antonio Spurs will be without two key players for Tuesday's In-Season Tournament matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center.

Spurs guard Tre Jones (right hamstring tightness) and forward Keldon Johnson (right knee soreness) are both out for the game.

San Antonio guard/forward Jeremy Sochan is questionable with right adductor tightness.

The Thunder don't appear to have any injury issues at the moment, as just two players are out due to G League assignments:

- Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)

- Keyontae Johnson, OUT (G League)

OKC and San Antonio tip-off at 6:30 p.m. CT.

NOV 12 TRE JONES DOWNGRADED Just an hour and a half prior to tipoff against the Miami Heat at Frost Bank Center, the San Antonio Spurs announced more grim news.

Tre Jones has been downgraded to OUT for Sunday evening's game. The point guard is still dealing with right-hamstring tightness, which has rendered him unable to play.

Now, the Spurs will look to Jeremy Sochan even more as they prepare to square off against Miami.

Tipoff from San Antonio is set for 6 p.m. CST.

NOV 11 TRE JONES QUESTIONABLE VS. HEAT The San Antonio Spurs are preparing to face the Miami Heat on Sunday, and they may do so without point guard Tre Jones.

The team announced that Jones is questionable to play against the Heat with hamstring tightness.

The Heat and Spurs face off at the Frost Bank Center at 6 p.m. CST.

NOV 6 KELDON QUESTIONABLE VS. PACERS The San Antonio Spurs could be without another starter as they take on the Indiana Pacers this evening.

The Spurs announced that forward Keldon Johnson has a sore wrist and is questionable for tonight's game against the Pacers.

Johnson suffered the injury in Sunday's game against the Toronto Raptors, where he scored a team-high 26 points in 38 minutes during an overtime loss.

Perhaps on a back-to-back the Spurs will be more cautious with Johnson, but having him sit out would be a big loss for San Antonio.

The Spurs and Pacers are set to tip off at 6 p.m. CT inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

NOV 3 VASSELL HURTS GROIN San Antonio Spurs guard Devin Vassell injured his left groin in the first half of Thursday's 132-121 win over the Phoenix Suns at Footprint Center and didn't return to the game.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said after the game that Vassell will get an MRI due to left groin tightness and that he expects him to miss time.

"He'll get an MRI tomorrow (Friday), and I'd imagine we'll lose him for a little while," Popovich said.

Popovich said that Vassell tested his groin out in an attempt to return to the game, but was unable to play on it.

"The groin is one of those things where it can take a while, and he wasn't sure he thought he could play," Popovich said. "But I told him go out there and warm it up and to be honest with me if it loosened up, how it felt, and he said he just couldn't go on it."
