Spurs' DeMar DeRozan not happy about Mike Conley's All-Star selection

Mike Conley Jr. is finally an NBA All-Star, ending the claim that the Utah Jazz guard is the most deserving player never to make it. While most people are happy for Conley Jr., San Antonio Spurs star DeMar DeRozan seems to be bitter.

After the news broke on Friday night, DeRozan tweeted, "Gets to a point where you just gotta laugh at the bulls--t!!"

Just like DeRozan, Conley Jr. wasn't initially selected for the All-Star Game. When Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker, who also wasn't initially selected, was ruled out for the game, it opened the door for someone to step in.

Some people probably think the same as DeRozan — why was Conley Jr. selected when other players have better numbers? For example, Conley Jr. is averaging 16.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game, while DeRozan is averaging 20 points, 4.9 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game.

The numbers aren't the only thing people are mad about when talking about Conley Jr.'s selection, though. He becomes the third Jazz player to be selected for the festivities, joining Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.

Some teams, including the Spurs, don't have a single All-Star this season. So it begs the question, why award the third-best Utah player with a spot over the best San Antonio player?

Regardless, Conley Jr. is finally getting some much-deserved recognition and DeRozan's complaints likely won't have any effect on the 33-year-old.
