The Minnesota Timberwolves might have suffered a crushing defeat, but Anthony Edwards did not miss out on having a good laugh. Having suffered a brutal knee injury, Edwards’ chances of playing in round 2 looked bleak. Thankfully, recovering just in time, the 24-year-old had a decent Game 1. But when the Spurs fans decided to troll him, the 4-time NBA All-Star gave it back with a hilarious response.
During the game, when the Wolves were struggling, Spurs fans in the stands held up signs reading ‘Raid.’ Since fans nicknamed Anthony Edwards “Ant,” they used Raid to mock him because the repellent is used to kill ants and other insects.

Sitting on the sidelines, the 2026 NBA All-Star MVP did not miss out on the sign. However, instead of reacting angrily, he got the joke and started clapping and laughing out loud.
Shifting focus to the game, the San Antonio Spurs erased the 1–0 lead with a strong performance. Coming off the bench, ‘AntMan’ dropped 12 points in 24 minutes. But that wasn’t enough to stem his team’s 95-133 loss.
Following the somber outcome, the 24-year-old had a strong message for his team.
When Edwards showed rapid progress with his injury recovery, the Wolves fans were delighted. But now, as the round 2 series stands at 2-2, the tensions are brewing significantly. Throughout the game, the Timberwolves shot just 35 of 88 from the field. On the contrary, the Spurs shot 50% and converted 45 of 90 shots.
Reflecting on the loss, Edwards said, “We started the game too cool. [The Spurs] came out physical, picking up full court, full of energy, and we expected that, but we just came out too flat today, I think that was the main thing.”
