While all eyes will be on Victor Wembanyama during his first All-Star Game appearance later this month in San Francisco, he won't be the only San Antonio Spurs player represented.
Rookie Stephon Castle will take place in the Rising Stars tournament and the Dunk Contest, facing off against Mac McClung, Matas Buzelis, and Andre Jackson Jr.
The winner of the Rising Stars Challenge will play against a team of NBA All-Stars. Castle's roster, coached by Warriors' legend Chris Mullin, seems to stand a good chance.
2025 NBA Rising Stars Rosters:
Team Chris Mullin: Stephon Castle, Ryan Dunn, Zach Edey, Keyonte George, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Dalton Knecht, Jaylen Wells.
Team Tim Hardaway: Anthony Black, Tristan da Silva, Gradey Dick, Jamie Jaquez Jr. Zaccharie Risacher, Alex Sarr Cason Wallace.
Team Mitch Richmond: Toumani Camara, Bub Carrington, Bilal Coulibaly, Scoot Henderson, Yves Missi, Amen Thompson, Ausar Thompson.
Team Jeremy Lin (G League): JD Davidson, Mac McClung, Bryce McGowens, Leonard Miller, Dink Pate, Reed Sheppard, Pat Spencer.
Between Castle, Dunn, Edey, George, Jackson-Davis, Knecht, and Wells, Team Mullin has plenty of size, firepower, and defense. It's hard to imagine them losing, although Team Richmond, with both Thompson Twins, Bilal Coulibaly, and Scoot Henderson will be a tough matchup.
The winning team will advance to the All-Star Game tournament, so there is a chance Castle and Wembanyama will face off. The tournament will be on Friday, Feb. 14.
