Spurs vs. Thunder Game 1 – 2026 NBA WCF: Prediction, Odds, and Injury Updates (May 18)

The San Antonio Spurs had some hiccups as they faced the Minnesota Timberwolves in round 2 of the playoffs. Thankfully, owing to some strong showing from Victor Wembanyama and the team, the Spurs went through with a 4-2 win.

For San Antonio, De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle had a good series. But one of the USPs was Keldon Johnson. Scoring the highest points coming off the bench, the 26-year-old won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award. As they brace up for an epic battle, the records favor the Spurs. In the regular season, San Antonio had beaten the defending champions for a whopping 4 times while the Thunder could manage only a solitary victory. 

But that does not diminish Oklahoma’s dominance. Coming to the playoffs as the table topper, the Thunder faced the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers. Without dropping a single game, the likes of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and co. have marched to the Western Conference finals with an 8-0 record. Thus, with the finals loading, the fans will be stoked to see who among the two will draw first blood.
