Status of Pacers Star For Game 4 Up In the Air

A source from Sportingnews.com shares an update as to the health of one of the starters from the Indiana Pacers. Center Myles Turner is reportedly dealing with an undisclosed illness. Head coach Rick Carlisle said, "He (Turner) is working through something" and described it as "some kind of a cold."

While Turner is not currently listed on the injury report, the Pacers have to plan out both scenarios. They are up in the series 2-1, and if he plays, it should be business as usual. If he cannot suit up, or even can only give limited time, they will have to come up with an alternative.

Turner is a big part of what this team does. Haliburton said in an interview earlier this series that their offense starts from the inside.

Because they have Turner and forward Pascal Siakam, who can protect the paint, but also stretch the floor, it gives them a mismatch advantage for the opposing team's center to have to guard someone that far from the basket.

This can lead to them getting caught in a pick-and-roll mismatch.

Turner has had a solid season for the Pacers as well. He has averaged 15.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game. Turner also shot 39.6 percent from three on the season. He is an anchor for them defensively as well.

While backup Thomas Bryant can also shoot from outside at a decent clip, he has not played well this postseason. There is for sure a drop off if Turner is not able to go.
