It has been a tumultuous past 48 hours for Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors. Jimmy Butler was helped off the court on Monday after injuring his knee against the Miami Heat. The team announced on Tuesday that Butler tore the ACL in his right knee, resulting in a season-ending injury.

That same night, Curry and Co. suffered a deflating blowout loss to the Toronto Raptors, 145-127. The Raptors dominated the Warriors at Chase Center, dropping Golden State to 25-20 on the season after another loss.

The Warriors are not in a good place right now as they look to recover from the massive blow of losing Butler.

While he’s not doing everything in his power to lead the Warriors to success, Curry has also been busy with his off-court extracurricular activities. One of the projects he has been most preoccupied with of late is his upcoming animated film, “GOAT.”

The movie is about a small goat who dreams of becoming a professional roarball player. It is loosely based on Curry’s own journey in the NBA. The former back-to-back MVP is producing the film and has also lent his voice as one of the characters.

On Wednesday, Steph Curry asked the help of his wife, Ayesha Curry, to make an announcement about the upcoming sports comedy film.

“Okay, fine, I guess we can’t keep it a secret any longer,” Ayesha Curry started.

"PLEZi is officially making their big screen debut in our film 'GOAT.'"

PLEZi is a nutrition drink that was co-founded by Michelle Obama in 2023. PLEZi Nutrition is a Public Benefit Company that aims to “set higher standards for how we make and market food and drinks.” Steph and Ayesha Curry are listed as investors/brand partners alongside Hollywood actress Kristen Bell.

As Steph and Ayesha Curry stated in their announcement, PLEZi will be showcased in “GOAT,” which is scheduled for theatrical release on Feb. 13.

As for his basketball, Steph Curry and the Warriors are back in action on Thursday. They will start their four-game road trip against Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks. Tip-off from American Airlines Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
