Steph Curry Gives Drake Public Shoutout After ‘Iceman’ Reveal

Drake finally dropped his highly anticipated studio album, Iceman. However, the audience quickly learned that Iceman was only one of the three albums that the Canadian rapper dropped on Friday, and nobody was happier for Drake than Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha.

Along with his ninth album, Iceman, Drake also dropped his 10th and 11th albums, Habibti and Maid of Honor, simultaneously. Stephen Curry signaled his support for Drake as he celebrated ‘Iceman’ on social media.

“Congrats @/champagnepapi,” Curry wrote on his Instagram story.

The Warriors’ star’s wife, Ayesha Curry, also gave a big public shoutout to the Canadian rapper.

“Whose watching?… we are. Whose listening?… we are! Congratulations @/champagnepapi,” Ayesha wrote in the caption, reposting Drake’s IG post on her IG Story.

Drake has given shoutouts to both Steph Curry and his wife, Ayesha, in the past.

In 2014 and 2015, he gave a special mention to the Warriors star in his 0 to 100/The Catch Up and Sweet Sixteen tracks. The Canadian singer gave a special shoutout to his long-term friend in Iceman.

Drake goes at LeBron James with his lyrics

In “2 Hard 4 The Radio,” Drake gave a special shoutout to the Warriors star’s alma mater.

“Back when they was asking about where Davidson was at… now everybody got a blue 30 on they back,” Drake rapped, referencing the NBA star’s college and his jersey number.

Drake didn’t forget to take shots at four-time NBA champion and NBA superstar LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers star and the rapper have had a dispute since LeBron attended Kendrick Lamar’s concert in 2024 during the peak of Drake-Lamar controversy. In one of the verses, he dissed James for switching teams to win championships.

“I shouldn’t even be shocked to see you in that arena, because you always made your career off of switching teams up,” Drake rapped on “Make Them Remember,” referring to James attending the concert.

In another line, he again dissed the Lakers star, addressing their grudge.

While LeBron has denied that he has any ill feelings towards Drake and always “wishes him the best,” Drake hasn’t halted his attack on the Lakers star yet.
