Steph Curry Had Words for Anthony Edwards During Warriors-Timberwolves Game

Steph Curry missed his third straight contest on Monday night after the Golden State Warriors superstar sustained a hamstring injury in Game 1 of their second-round NBA playoffs series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Despite not being on the court, however, Curry did everything he could to try and impact the game. This included attempting to get in the head of Minnesota superstar Anthony Edwards, who turned in another incredible performance to lead the Wolves to a 117-110 victory.

As Edwards spoke to the media after the win, the 23-year-old revealed what was said between him and Curry during a brief sideline exchange early in the game.

“I had missed one, and [Curry] was like, ‘You ain’t gonna make that, you was too open,’" Edwards said. "And I was like, 'I ain’t ever gonna stop shooting them. I learned that from you this summer.'"

At the end of the day, however, not even Curry's chirping could prevent another offensive explosion from Edwards, who dropped 30 points with six triples to lead Minnesota to a 3-1 series lead.

For his part, the young Wolves star admitted that he would have loved to compete against Curry on the court, which, unfortunately, might not be the case in Game 5 on Wednesday either, with the former back-to-back MVP still a doubt to suit up for that do-or-die contest.

Edwards, though, had nothing but respect for Curry. Despite all the bravado this young man has in him, Edwards still recognizes everything Curry has done for the game. "He’s the greatest. The greatest shooter of all time,” said Edwards.
