Steph Curry in Disbelief Over Insane Warriors Stat

Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors are facing a challenging point in the 2024-25 NBA season, leaving the two-time MVP visibly stunned after their latest loss.

Following a 118-108 defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers, Curry was left in disbelief when confronted with a shocking statistic that underscores the Warriors’ struggles this season.

The team’s record now stands at 22-23, but one glaring number has fans and analysts scratching their heads: Golden State is an alarming 1-20 when trailing after three quarters.

“WHAT?!” Curry exclaimed during the postgame press conference, as posted by Courtside Buzz.

His reaction reflected the frustration of a team that has struggled to regain its championship-caliber form.

“I mean, some of the games have been because we couldn't score,” Curry said, floored by the gravity of the number. "Tonight, obviously, the situation with AD and LeBron—we couldn't control the scoring with AD in the block or the mid-post, and then LeBron into the lane."

Curry was at a loss for any clear explanation for the stat.

"1-20 is probably for a lot of reasons, but it's one of those anomalies we need to figure out," he added.

For a franchise that has prided itself on resilience and the ability to storm back from deficits, the Warriors’ inability to mount fourth-quarter comebacks has been one of the most concerning trends of the season.

While Curry continues to deliver strong performances, averaging 22.3 points per game, the team has struggled to close out tight games, leading to their middling record and a razor-thin margin in the Western Conference standings.

Golden State’s loss to the Lakers was emblematic of their issues. Despite having seven players score in double figures, the Warriors faltered late in the game, with Anthony Davis and LeBron James combining for 61 points to seal the win. The defeat added to a growing sense of urgency for the team as they look to turn things around.

As the Warriors navigate a critical stretch of the season, Curry’s disbelief mirrors the sentiment of a fanbase hungry for answers. Whether this stat becomes a rallying cry or a grim footnote remains to be seen—but the Warriors need solutions fast.
