Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors suffered a tough loss on Tuesday night. They got blown out by the Orlando Magic, 121-113, as Golden State played in the fifth out of their current six-game road trip. Tuesday was the first time the Warriors lost in four games.

Curry went off against Orlando for 34 points on 12-of-23 shooting, to go along with three rebounds, nine assists, three steals and seven triples in 34 minutes of action. It still wasn’t enough, though, as Golden State failed to match up against the Magic’s concerted effort. All five Orlando starters scored at least 13 points, combining for 86 points between them.

Curry made history on Tuesday night. He surpassed Hall of Famer Vince Carter for No. 22 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. However, not even Curry’s historic performance was enough to carry Golden State to victory. In his last four games, the former back-to-back MVP has amassed 138 points, including his nine-point effort in Sunday’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Curry spoke to reporters after the game to provide a health update. The 37-year-old missed three games earlier this month due to illness, and Curry admitted that he’s “still dealing with it a little bit.” The 11-time All-Star also revealed that he’s nursing a “sore ankle.”

According to Curry, he tweaked his right ankle on Friday against the San Antonio Spurs. He has been playing through the injury, but the bad news is that he tweaked it again against Orlando on Tuesday.

When asked about his availability for Wednesday’s game against the Miami Heat, Curry was non-committal.

“We’re just looking at how that responds because I [tweaked] it again in the first half tonight,” Curry said. “I don’t think it’s anything crazy, but we’ll see how it responds to the flight [to Miami] and how I feel tomorrow.”

It is important to note that Wednesday’s game is the second night of a back-to-back set for the Warriors. They also have to fly from Orlando to Miami for a 7:30 p.m. ET tip-off. It is also the final game of their six-game road stand.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said before the game that he’s “very concerned” with the increased rate of injuries across the NBA. It remains to be seen if this will factor into Golden State’s decision on Curry’s availability for Wednesday’s game.

The Warriors fell to 9-7 after their loss to the Magic. They are currently seventh in the Western Conference.
