Steph Curry Makes NBA History in Warriors' Game 7 Win vs. Rockets

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry seemed destined to have a forgettable outing in Sunday's Game 7 matchup against the Houston Rockets. This is after the former back-to-back MVP got off to a slow start that saw him score just three points in the first half on 1-of-7 shooting.

And then, all of a sudden, Curry reminded everyone why he is widely regarded as the greatest shooter of all time.

Curry went off for the Warriors when it mattered the most as the 11-time All-Star scored 14 out of his 22 points in the fourth quarter. He went 5-of-6 from the field and 2-of-3 from distance as he helped seal the deal for Golden State.

In the process, Curry made a bit of NBA history again. According to StatMamba, the Warriors superstar now has the most Game 7s in NBA history with at least 20 points on 50/40/90% shooting clips.

Curry reached those heights again on Sunday after finishing with 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting (50%), 4-of-10 from beyond the arc (40%) and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe (100%). For good measure, the 37-year-old also added 10 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two blocks in 46 minutes of action.

Thanks in large part to Curry's heroics, the Warriors now live to fight another day. Up next for them is a mouth-watering second-round matchup against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are coming off a dominant 4-1 series win over LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Curry and Co. get just one day of rest before they return to action for Game 1 on Tuesday in Minnesota.
