Stephen Curry comments on his first All-Star starter snub since 2014

The last time a healthy Stephen Curry didn't start in an All-Star Game, Barack Obama was POTUS, Kevin Durant was still a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder and TikTok didn’t exist.

On Thursday, the "Inside the NBA" on TNT crew announced that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Doncic were chosen ahead of Curry as the Western Conference starting guards for next month’s All-Star game in Indianapolis.

When asked to comment on his first All-Star starter snub in a decade, Curry – class personified, as per usual – had nothing but praise for his two younger contemporaries, both of whom are averaging career-best averages across the board.

"You got two guys that are playing amazing this year, Luka and Shai," Curry told reporters, via ClutchPoints. "So, I’ve been around, doing this for a very long time and the fact that it’s a talking point I’m not [an All-Star starter] after nine healthy years…Those two guys are playing amazing.

"They deserve it,” Curry continued. “Hopefully I’m there in Indiana in whatever capacity. But yeah, to still be doing it at this stage, it’s always a challenge. You don’t ever take for granted the fact that how hard it is to be recognized in that way every year."
