Stephen Curry reveals his all-time starting five

Stephen Curry is a four-time NBA champion who has played on some of the best basketball teams in the game's history. But if Curry could create a lineup consisting of all-time greats to play alongside, who would he choose?

This week, Curry answered that very question when asked by Sports Illustrated. After first choosing to man the point guard position, Curry handpicked a devastatingly talented lineup.

"I'm going with Magic, we'll play hybrid guards," Curry said. "You got Jordan, you got Dirk spacing the floor, shooting the ball, and you got the big man, the Diesel, holding it down. So, that's a solid lineup, I think."

To recap, Curry chose himself, three Hall of Famers — Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neal — and Dirk Nowitzki, who will likely get the call to the Hall next summer.

Quite a solid lineup, indeed.

A two-time MVP and scoring champ with four rings and eight All-NBA nods, Curry is already at the level where players now and in the future will name him among their all-time starting five. Although, the 34-year-old's career seems far from finished.

After a tremendous 2022, SI named Curry its Sportsperson of the Year, and the eight-time All-Star is still playing at a high level, with 2023 right around the corner.

Curry, Golden State's leading scorer (30 PPG), is tied with Draymond Green for the team lead in assists per game (7) and is second in rebounds per game (6.6).
