Stephen Curry says one thing still missing from resume

The Golden State Warriors won their fourth championship in eight years recently thanks to a herculean effort by Stephen Curry.

After years of hearing about how he couldn’t come up big in the NBA Finals, Curry delivered this time around, earning his first Finals MVP in the process.

With that Finals MVP monkey now off his back, many assumed that there was nothing left for Curry to prove. Curry doesn't see it that way. This week, the Warriors sharpshooter identified the lone item still missing from his resume after this season.

“No, I’m not good yet ‘cause I got to go play for coach Kerr in ‘24 in Paris,” Curry said.

Curry has never competed in the Olympics. Whether he was joking or not, that is something that is missing from his resume. LeBron James is a two-time gold medalist and you would be hard-pressed to find another top 10 all-time contender who doesn’t have at least one medal.

Even Curry’s teammate, Draymond Green, has two gold medals.

Kerr, meanwhile, was anointed the 2022-24 USA Basketball Men’s National Team head coach this past December after serving as an assistant over a four-year span from 2017-21.

Obviously having Curry by his side in 2024 would make life a lot easier for Kerr at the international level.

If Curry does decide to chase that missing gold medal, it would be a huge boost for Kerr and Team USA and would help to up the excitement heading into the event.
