The 2024-25 NBA season has come to an end for the Golden State Warriors after they were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

It was a disappointing ending to their season as Golden State lost in only five games to Minnesota as the Warriors struggled on the offensive end with their superstar point guard Stephen Curry being sidelined.

Now the Warriors begin a pivotal offseason where they will try to upgrade their roster around Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green to compete for a championship next season.

Of course, Golden State’s turnaround this season came with their addition of Butler from the Miami Heat at the trade deadline, which was one of many blockbuster trades that happened in the NBA this season.

While the Butler to Golden State trade was a massive one, there was no bigger and shocking trade this season than the one between the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks that paired Luka Doncic with LeBron James in Los Angeles.

On Friday, a video surfaced and has gone viral of Curry and the rest of the Warriors’ reactions to the Doncic trade.

In the video, it shows Curry in shock, like most of the NBA world was when it happened, and the rest of the Warriors in the video also had shocked looks as well.

Green and others even asked if the trade was fake but Curry immediately knew that it wasn’t and that one of the most shocking trades in league history had just taken place.

Of course, the NBA world was stunned by the Mavericks’ decision to trade Doncic and Dallas general manager Nico Harrison has continued to catch a ton of criticism due to his decision.

It ended up working out somewhat well for Dallas as they won the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes while the Lakers were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.

While the Doncic trade was a massive one that will have an impact for many years to come, so will the trade that sent Butler to the Warriors as Golden State tries to retool their roster and chase another title next season.
