Steve Kerr cracks funny joke about Steph Curry playing in G League

Steve Kerr cracked a funny joke on Twitter Monday about Stephen Curry playing in the G League.

The Golden State Warriors announced Monday that they had assigned Curry to their Santa Cruz affiliate to practice as he recovers from his broken hand.

The Warriors have assigned guard Stephen Curry and forward Alen Smailagić to the team’s G League affiliate in Santa Cruz. Curry, who has been out since suffering a broken left hand on October 30, will practice with the team in Santa Cruz today. pic.twitter.com/rZjOAHb4iW

New York Times reporter Scott Cacciola shared a photo on Twitter of Curry with the Santa Cruz team. That led to a funny comment from Kerr, who joked that the Warriors were thinking about signing the kid to a “ten day” contract.

While with Santa Cruz, Curry got to participate in scrimmages while the Warriors took the day off ahead of a road game in Denver.

Curry was originally expected to return to action on Sunday, but that was pushed back, and the MVP guard is now expected to play at some point this month. Curry has only played in four games.
