To say that Wednesday night was a tough one for the Golden State Warriors would be a huge understatement.
Not only were they eliminated from the NBA Cup, but they blew a 14-point lead to the Kevin Durant-less Houston Rockets in a 104-100 home loss.
If that wasn't bad enough, Stephen Curry couldn't finish the game.
The superstar shooter left the game after colliding with Amen Thompson, and coach Steve Kerr believes he will be out for a while.
“When I heard it was a quad, I was actually kind of relieved,” Kerr said after the game, per 95.7 The Game. “Better than an ankle or a knee. So hopefully he can recover quickly and be okay. But in that time, we’ve got to hold down the fort.”

Curry had struggled mightily with his shot, going just 4-of-13 from the floor for 14 points and five assists. Even so, not having him out there was a lethal blow to their offense down the stretch.
Curry is 37 years old, and he's had to bail out the Warriors way too many times this season already.
That's why, even though he still has faith in his team, Kerr still believes they can turn things around. Of course, it will take a collective effort.
“I believe in them. I believe in our guys and the continuity that we’ve got from not only last year, but with Steph and Dray for 14-15 years, whatever it’s been. So I believe in the guys, and we’ve just got to keep working, and we’ll get there,” the coach said.
The Warriors have fallen to 10-10, and they've struggled to find consistency all year long. Notably, that might not change until they finally trade Jonathan Kuminga to get the type of supporting cast the stars need.
