Suns add David Duke Jr, Damion Baugh to camp roster

The Suns are filling out their camp roster with a couple of backcourt additions.

Phoenix has signed David Duke Jr., per Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot. Terms weren’t disclosed, but it’s expected to be an Exhibit 10 deal.

Duke, 24, is entering his fifth NBA season. He spent two years with the Nets and the past two with the Spurs, including a two-way contract last year.

In 111 career games, he’s averaged 4.2 points and 0.9 assists in 11.9 minutes.

The Suns are also bringing in Damion Baugh on a camp deal, Garcia added. Baugh, 24, appeared in 41 games for the Hornets last season after going undrafted in 2023.

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 7.3 points and 3.7 assists in 24.7 minutes, mostly as a reserve, before being waived in June.

As it stands, Phoenix has 13 players on guaranteed deals and a pair of non-guaranteed contracts (Jordan Goodwin and Jared Butler) competing for a standard roster spot.

Duke and Baugh seem more likely to wind up with the Valley Suns in the G League, though camp could give them an opportunity to make an impression.
