Suns 'Borderline Starter' Predicted to Bolt for Magic in NBA Free Agency

The Orlando Magic have already started the offseason on a good note, and they're planning on taking their team to another level next year. The first thing that they did was acquire Desmond Bane from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, four first-round picks, and a pick swap. Bane should be a move that helps them for years to come, and his skill set is exactly what they needed.

In the NBA Draft, the Magic selected Jase Richardson in the first round, and in the second round, they selected Amari Williams and Max Shulga. There's no doubt that they're serious about acquiring talent, and free agency will be the next step.

There are a few holes that the Magic still need to fill, and a solid backup point guard will be key. Bleacher Report predicts that Tyus Jones could leave the Phoenix Suns in free agency for Orlando.

"Jones is a borderline starter, a low-turnover guard who can shoot three at a high clip," Bleacher Report wrote. "He's also relatively small in height and stature, which can compromise a playoff defense.

"Everything he does well fits the Orlando Magic's needs. What he doesn't, the Magic provides with a big, tough, long physical roster."

The Magic could use a guard like Jones off the bench, and he's been in a starter role and a backup role in his career. It will be interesting to see how much Jones is worth in free agency, but the Magic can use the TMLE to sign him.
