Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker continues to etch his name in the history books. On Monday, Booker had a career scoring milestone against the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden. Given that he scored 70 points for the team during the 2016–17 season, it is a legendary accomplishment for the NBA player.

The Suns are coming off a tough 122-115 loss against the Toronto Raptors on Friday. Booker tried to lead the team with his 31-point game, but that wasn't enough. On Monday, he's looking forward to the team snatching its 40th win of the year.

On his way to leading the Suns, he recorded his 500th game of scoring at least 20 points.

The Suns recognized Booker's achievement on X and congratulated him on the social media platform.

"Book buckets " the Suns posted. "Congrats, Book, on 500 career 20+ point games!"

NBA beat reporter Shane Young posted on X about the star player's feat. According to Young, Booker became the 25th fastest player in league history to reach the 500-game mark, tying former star and Suns player Vince Carter.

Devin Booker Sends Message to Jayson Tatum Ahead of Their Matchup

One of the biggest stories of the NBA season is the return of Jayson Tatum from a season-ending torn Achilles tendon injury. He returned to action on March 6 against the Dallas Mavericks. Ahead of their contest against the Suns on Monday, Tatum was cleared to participate in his fifth game of the season.

Before the start of the game, Booker had nothing but praise for the NBA star for his speedy recovery.

"That's his makeup," Booker said via AZ Central's Duane Rankin. "That's his DNA. That's his approach. Somebody that I've been watching for a really long time, since he was in sixth, seventh grade. Been watching him evolve into a champion. Everything he's accomplished at such a young age, it's inspirational even though he's younger. I'm happy to see him back out there."

Since returning from injury, Tatum has elevated the Celtics, and he has played three games in which he scored at least 20 points.

The two stars have only played 10 games against each other in their careers. Booker is on the losing end, with a 3-7 record. The Suns star averages 27.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists against the former Duke star. Tatum, meanwhile, averages 20.1 points and 7.6 rebounds.

Their face off on Monday is their 11th game against each other.
