Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant is far from slowing down in his career despite being 36. While many might call it the twilight of his career, Durant's love for the game remains clear.

In an interview with ESPN's Malika Andrews, Durant, who is averaging 27.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists this season, discussed his current mindset about retirement.

"I think about it all the time," Durant said regarding retirement. "I mean, we're in a young man's game. I hear about my age every day. But I'm still having fun preparing for games, preparing for practices, being a teammate, I still enjoy all that stuff. I don't see an end right now, but it could happen, it could not. But I'm just locked in on the next day."

Despite the Suns' current struggles in the season, with a record of 26-28 placing them 11th in the Western Conference, Durant expressed no desire to leave. Rumors ran rampant before the midseason trade deadline, he clarified his commitment to Phoenix and his lack of desire to have been traded.

"You gotta ask the front office about that," Durant remarked. "I mean, I never planned on leaving, moving, or getting traded. I didn't ask for a trade from Phoenix."

Durant and the Suns have faced challenges this season. The team has explored shaking things up, particularly given the difficulties of moving Bradley Beal due to his no-trade clause and significant contract.

This situation led to serious discussions about Durant's future with the team, though breaking up the dynamic duo of Durant and Devin Booker seemed like a last resort.

Durant remains a key figure for the Suns. The future may hold more uncertainty, but for now, he is all in and committed to pushing his team forward.

"I know that I'm gonna keep bringing, trying to bring my best every single day, and I let the higher-ups focus on what's, what's next," Durant said.

The Suns return to action on Thursday when they face the San Antonio Spurs at Moody Coliseum in Austin, where he played his college basketball for the Longhorns before the NBA.
