The Suns are signing guard Saben Lee to a 10-day contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Lee, 23, is 6-foot-2 and signed with the 76ers on Nov. 23. He appeared in two games and averaged 3.0 points before being waived.
Since then, he has been playing for Raptors 905 of the G League.
The Suns have been wildly short-handed lately, missing the likes of guards Chris Paul and Devin Booker for long stretches.
Lee was originally drafted by the Pistons with the No. 38 overall pick in 2020, GM Troy Weaver‘s first draft in Detroit. Lee appeared in 48 games as a rookie, and then 37 games last year, averaging 5.6 points each season.
He was then a part of the Pistons-Jazz deal that sent wing Bojan Bogdanovic to Detroit in late September. Lee was viewed as being included for salary-matching purposes and was waived shortly after the deal.
The Phoenix Suns are signing G League Raptors 905 guard Saben Lee to a 10-day contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Lee has played 87 NBA games over the past three years and spent time with 76ers this season.
