Suns To Waive Koby Brea

The Suns are waiving Koby Brea, who was on a two-way contract, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports (via Twitter).

Phoenix still has Duop Reath on an Exhibit 10 contract, and Scotto hears the team is looking for frontcourt depth after Mark Williams underwent surgery to address a torn labrum in his shoulder in August. The Suns may simply convert Reath’s Exhibit 10 deal to a two-way contract, as  previously reported, but that has yet to be confirmed.

Brea, the 41st overall pick in the 2025 draft, appeared in 12 games with the Suns last season, averaging 3.8 points while shooting 43.3% from three-point range in just 7.0 minutes per contest.

The former Dayton and Kentucky shooting guard, who’s known for his outside shot, also made 34 G League appearances with the Valley Suns as a rookie, averaging 16.4 PPG, 5.1 RPG and 2.6 APG while converting 34.9% of his 10.0 three-point attempts per game.

The Suns’ other two-way players are forward CJ Huntley and guard Pat Spencer.
