Surgery reportedly a 'real option' for Clippers All-Star Paul George

It's been four years since the Los Angeles Clippers weren't part of the NBA playoffs. During that season, seven-time All-Star Paul George was in his first year with the Oklahoma City Thunder and still two seasons away from joining Los Angeles.

With Kawhi Leonard still yet to suit up this campaign and George having been limited to 26 games due to an elbow injury, the Clippers have struggled to the tune of a 23-25 mark and are barely hanging on to a spot in the Play-In Tournament. According to ESPN NBA reporter Brian Windhorst, there's at least a chance that "PG-13" could miss the rest of the season.

In his 12th NBA season, George is averaging 24.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, a career-high 5.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 35.5 minutes per game. The 31-year-old's scoring, rebounding, steals and minutes are all his highest since joining the Clippers ahead of the 2019-2020 campaign.

Los Angeles will play the Washington Wizards (23-24) on the road at 7:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
