Talkin’ Cavs: LeBron James, Kevin Love, Larry Nance Jr, Lonzo Ball

LeBron James possibly returning to the Cavaliers has been all the buzz this summer in Cleveland. We can now add Kevin Love to the list as well. And hey, Larry Nance Jr. actually is coming back.

I joined Sports 4 CLE’s Dave Bacon on Cleveland.com to discuss all of the above and more. Just to make it easier, I posted each segment in separate clips directly below.

Reaction to Brian Windhorst’s LeBron Take

First of all, I don’t think LeBron is on his way back to Cleveland anytime soon. Certainly not this offseason. That said, something weird is going on in L.A. Reports suggest that the Lakers and James are at odds. And this is the NBA. In other words, anything is possible.

On Talk of Kevin Love Coming Back to Cavaliers

If you remember, Love’s tenure in Cleveland didn’t end well. He was upset about not playing under former coach J.B. Bickerstaff. I also heard he got into it at least once with president of basketball operations Koby Altman. More importantly, Love isn’t much of an NBA contributor these days. If I’m the Cavs, I’m not bringing him back for sentimental reasons alone — and frankly, that’s the only reason they would.

On Nance Jr.’s Second Coming

By opening night, it will have felt like Nance never really left. I have little doubt he’s being honest when he says he’s thrilled to be back in Cleveland. More importantly to fans, he should be a great fit on a team that finished 64-18 last season, yet clearly needed frontcourt depth.

On Additions of Ball and Proctor

The Cavaliers acquired Lonzo Ball in the Isaac Okoro trade with Chicago, and selected ex-Duke guard Tyrese Proctor in the second round (No. 49 overall). Here are my thoughts on both moves:
