For the record, and as I said on the show, I don’t suspect Cavs’ offseason moves to be influenced by the Bane trade to the Magic. While it seemingly makes Orlando better (on paper, anyway), the Cavs don’t ever really base their strategy on what other teams are doing.

They know the areas in which they need to improve, and they base their roster structuring on that and that alone. What looks good on paper doesn’t always translate on the court. Just ask this past season’s Philadelphia 76ers.
