Taylor Rooks' Photo With Dirk Nowitzki During Lakers-Mavericks Sparks Excitement

Taylor Rooks sparked a lot of excitement among fans after sharing a photo with Dirk Nowitzki ahead of the debut of their new show next season.

Rooks took the photo with Nowitzki while they were watching the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday night. The Mavs legend was in attendance to show support for Luka Doncic in his first game in Dallas since being traded to L.A.

In the caption of her Instagram post, the sports reporter described the former NBA champion as her "teammate" for the upcoming NBA on Prime Video show, while also tagging Blake Griffin at the end.

"Lakers-Mavs with my new teammate!!! NBA on Prime Coming at ya October 2025," Rooks wrote.

Fans promptly took to social media to share their thoughts about the pair.

Blake Griffin and Dirk Nowitzki have been named studio analysts for Prime Video's upcoming NBA coverage to cover the 2025-26 season. Alongside Taylor Rooks, the retired NBA stars are expected to bring unique insights to the new show.

Rooks served as a feature reporter for Prime Video’s coverage of "Thursday Night Football" before taking on the biggest move of her career yet. She has also worked as a host and reporter for Bleacher Report and TNT.

Meanwhile, Nowitzki will step into the role of analyst for the first time. The former Mavericks forward is a 14-time All-Star and was awarded the NBA MVP in 2007.

NBA on Prime Video is set to debut in the 2025-26 NBA season.
