Team USA men's basketball roster appears finalized ahead of Tokyo Olympics

With the additions of Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine and Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant to Team USA, the 12-man men's basketball roster for the Tokyo Olympics has been set.

LaVine and Grant are joined by Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Bradley Beal, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Kevin Love, Bam Adebayo, Draymond Green, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton.

Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden was supposed to compete at this year's Olympics, but he withdrew as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania:

The 2021 Games in Tokyo mark the first time LaVine, Grant, Lillard, Beal, Tatum, Booker, Adebayo, Holiday and Middleton will compete at the Olympics.

Love previously competed in the 2012 Olympic Games in London, as did Durant, who also played for Team USA in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. Green also participated in the 2016 Games.

The U.S. men's national team has won gold medals at the last three Olympic tournaments in 2008, 2012 and 2016. The Americans will be looking for their fourth straight gold medal when they begin play next month.
